The House:
The house is a luxury residence designed using the best characteristics of both Mexican Caribbean
and Neoclassic Spanish styles. The main house makes up approximately 18,000 square feet of functional
elegance. All living areas are fully air-conditioned, of course, but the design and
numerous ceiling fans provide the choice of enjoying the refreshing and natural sea
breezes inside the house as well as out. See the Picture
Gallery for Details & Photographs. Electrical service is from
the municipal power plant (with generator backup), telephone service is through Telmex optical
fiber lines connected to the house PBX system,
television is via satellite, and water is drawn from wells located on the
property then processed through a reverse osmosis desalinization and
purification system. A backup water supply from the municipal water
company is available, and city water is run through the purification
system whenever it is used to supply the house.

Water Desalinization & Purification System: Water
is supplied from wells in the jungle to the east of the house. The
water is processed through a state of the art desalinization and
purification plant (reverse osmosis system) that produces pure potable
water. The water is further treated with chlorine and pumped throughout the house via a pressurized
electrical pump system, making pure fresh water available from the
tap. The system is designed and installed by the same group that
provides water for the cruise ships and water bottling companies. Bottled water can also be made available in each bathroom if
requested. (Pictures)
Generator
Backup System: Electricity
is supplied from the local utility company, but there are occasional
outages. Casa Gordon utilizes a Cummins diesel powered generator for
back-up power. An automatic switch activates the generator
immediately upon loss of regular power and the house's electrical system
is immediately switched to generator power. (Pictures)
